Today we are engaged in a modern “Great Civil War” to determine whether we are going to take care of ALL of our people, or just the RICH ; whether we are going to lead the world in fairness and equality for ALL, or allow Selfishness and Greed for and by just a few, the Rich and Powerful? If it is just left up to the Rich and Powerful, poor people will just become more and more poor. Now, more than ever, is the time for poor people to unite to change the rules (the laws) to benefit us. We can do this by voting for the right people, by communicating our wishes to them, and voting them out if they do not comply. There are MANY more of us than them. We can have the POWER through voting, but we must organize and work together. Please join us, the NRLLA.
A lot of rich people, corporations, and people in government don't care about regular people or poor disadvantaged people, they mostly just care about themselves and money. To justify their attitude and make themselves feel better, they often blame the poor for their own demise. When in fact, it is their greedy selfish behavior, aggressive pursuit of money, wealth and profits, and apathetic lack of caring about others, that is a great contributor to our problem.
Imagine a World where most people were kind, caring, tolerant, and accepting of others, working together for the benefit of all. Most people would agree that would be a pretty good world in which to live.
Such a world could be possible if the people with money and influence, and the people in our government with money, influence, power and authority, cared more about all the people and not just some of the people; such a world as was imagined by our Forefathers; a world that is the aspiration and ideal of our Constitution is possible, if "We, ALL the People" work together to achieve it.
We, ALL the People, must become more involved in, and pay attention to, the things that are happening in our communities, our society, and our government, and do whatever it takes to make it fair for ALL. It is imperative that we are not apathetic, lackadaisical, or feel like we can not make a difference. We can make a difference!
Almost all people can see basic things that should be changed, things that are not right, that are not fair, that are not good for the great majority of regular people. Almost everybody knows what's right and what's wrong when they see it, and in their hearts want to do the right thing. Most people would agree, not only is there too much money influencing our elections and our government, way too much of it is not transparent. We don't know where it comes from, how much there is, or how it is being used. There is definitely something wrong with that.
Other issues, like Preventive Mental and Physical Healthcare, Education, Wages, the Economy, Justice, Immigration, and the Environment all need improvement. If we work together, stay informed and involved, ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things.
HOWEVER...
While perusing our objectives, WE should NOT use Negativity, Belligerency or Aggression, but rather Kindness, Compassion, Tolerance, Acceptance, Understanding, Listening, Diplomacy, Reason and Common Sense, together with Courage, Commitment, Persistence, and Determination.
We need more simple rules (laws) that are easier to understand and follow; common sense rules that do not restrict our individual freedoms but DO intelligently protect the safety and wellbeing of all people.
Our country should take care of it's people by keeping them healthy and safe, and by teaching them about the benefits and rewards of good behavior. Unacceptable behavior should be corrected by required education and training, with Prosecution and Incarceration reserved for the most serious offenses and/or repeat offenses. People who are incarcerated should be treated with dignity and respect and not with violence and abuse. They should still be educated in proper behavior and rehabilitated to be able to rejoin society.
Good people need to work together to increase Quality of Life, and Improve the Domestic Tranquility. Remember that through the Ballot, and Communication with our Representatives in Government, and our large numbers, We Have the Power to change our Society, Government, and Country to Improve the Quality of Life for all People.

FAIRNESS: One thing that would greatly improve human behavior, would be for rich prosperous people, employers, and corporations to PAY their workers, their employees, their hired help a LIVING WAGE! If all people earned a living wage or had a minimum standard of living guaranteed by the government; the urge, the feeling of need or necessity to Shoplift, Rob, Steal, or Cheat, or commit suicide would be much less.
Many poor people resort to crime out of desperation; a feeling of "No Hope;" a feeling that no one cares about them, or their family.
Sad to say, but all too many people don't care about other people, about hungry people, homeless people; but we should care about and have compassion for others, for people who are less fortunate, who suffer hardship and struggle.
Independent studies support that Paying a Living Wage would be good for the economy and business. When regular, "not rich people" receive more money, they SPEND IT! More money going into the economy is good for everybody and the country as a whole.
JUSTICE is most certainly not fair for all. There is a great deal of bias and prejudice in our justice system, which needs to be changed. Rich people receive far and away better justice than poor people. White people receive better justice than people of color. Even before the proliferation of security cameras and almost everybody having a cell phone with still and video camera capability we could evaluate the inequality and injustices in our justice system just by numbers and percentages. The United States has approximately 4.35 percent of the world's population but 25 percent of the world's prison population. Incarcerating people is a big business in the United States of America. And, we are building more prisons, and prisons for profit, at an alarming rate! Not only are we the greatest country on earth when it comes to putting people in jail, we are one of the few developed nations that still has capital punishment. Black people, people of color are incarcerated, and executed, at a much higher percentage of their total numbers than white people.
HE WAS ACCUSED OF STEALING A Backpack by one eye witness. He was arrested. Held in Rikers Prison for 3 years, over 2 in solitary. Refused to plea, maintaining his innocence. Released after 3 years. Suffered from depression and PTSD. He was getting better for a while, then committed suicide.
WHEN ARESSTED, rich people can bond out of jail easily and pay for the services of a good lawyer; while poor people have greater difficulty or cannot get the funds to make bail and must remain in jail until a hearing or trial. Rich people can afford legal representation. Poor people often cannot, and must rely on overworked Public Defenders.

MANY STUDIES absolutely show that money spent to lift up regular working people, and poor people, has a high rate of financial return, as well as contributes a great deal to less crime, and more peaceful communities and neighborhoods. A great country should help all its people to be successful, productive, and to become well educated members of society, giving back, and helping others.
Poverty begets POVERTY, BEGETS POVERTY, BEGETS POVERTY, And So On and So On Infinitum.
While SUCCESS BEGETS SUCCESS, BEGET SUCCESS and So On and So On and So On! We must break the Cycle Now!
VENGENCE and REVENGE are two Emotions we should try to reduce or eliminate from our attitude toward correcting people's behavior in our society. We should strive to use education more and punishment less in correcting undesirable behavior. We pay more to keep a person in prison than we pay to educate a person. Not only do we treat people very harshly while they are in jail or prison we continue to treat them badly after they get out. We make it very difficult for them to return to society, get a job, or vote; which contributes to recidivism. When we have to use punishment, especially when it comes to incarceration, it should be civilized and humane, and targeted toward educating offenders about, the importance of and the understanding that, proper behavior and playing by the rules is not only good for society, it is very good for themselves. We must, however, do everything possible to be sure that playing by the rules is beneficial to everyone.
IT IS A TRUE verifiable fact that people in the bottom financial 80% of America pay a higher percentage of their available income in taxes than people in the top 20%. Rich, and super rich people should care about the world, our country, our people; indeed, they should care about all human beings. Paying one's fair share of taxes in accordance with one's ability should be a badge of honor, a matter of pride.
Rich people and rich profitable corporations ARE able to help, and they should help. They should CARE
about our people, our country, and our environment. Our government should work for EVERYBODY!
All people, rich and poor alike, should care about the world, the planet, and want to preserve it for our children, grand children, and all future generations.
